HAPPY BIRTHDAY XTINA!

Julie
09 novembre 2008 @ 17:14
Today is an extremely sad day. I was woken up at about 6am to my parents saying "Wake up, I think Kramer died."

Basically, my cats were both begging for my mom to get up and feed them. As she sat up in bed, Kramer made one of his funny squeaky noises, and then laid down. And that was it. He was only 10 years old. We think he had a heart attack, probably due to the fact that he was MORBIDLY obese. But that was just one of the things we loved about him.
We still have Cosmo, but that doesn't make things hurt any less. We've had these guys since they were a month old, and they're just so quirky and have such strange, un-catlike personalities, and that's why we love them. And today we had to say goodbye to Kramer. 10 years old. This is so fucking unfair. He wasn't just an ordinary house cat, he was so different and quirky. I'm going to miss him a lot. So, for anyone who knew the fat wonder that was Kramer, give him a little thought tonight. He's probably in some kitty heaven just gnawing on a turkey carcass or something...at least I hope so :)

RIP
Kramer...god he\'s so huge

ANUJA! Be jealous, be VERY jealous.

I saw this familiar truck outside my next door neighbor's house, and it turns out they're re-doing their kitchen, and who is redoing it? MR. SWEDKO.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
PRESENTED BY BAMTHEATRE
FRIDAY AT 7:00
SUNDAY AT 2:00
PERFORMED IN NAZARETH ACADEMY'S BRAND-SPANKIN-NEW AUDITORIUM
1209 E. OGDEN AVE
LA GRANGE PARK, IL
TICKETS ARE $12

We have the EXACT SAME PLANT as we had at south, and NOT ERIK NELSON INSIDE IT!!! lolol. Our plant manipulator is AWESOME, he even adds plant vibrato when the voice is singing! Then he eats the audience at the end! It is BETTER THAN SOUTH'S PRODUCTION!!! Some of the leads aren't as good (Our Audrey isn't as animated as Amanda--you and Lainie can duke it out lol, and our Seymour is a better actor than he is a singer, opposite of Ben). BUT we have THREE ladies, and not SEVEN, and we sound so much better than the cacophony of voices at South. Plus the dances are so much cooler because it's not Pamography. Pamn unfortunately cannot come because she's in Europe (what a bitch! haha jk). So here's some previews (and yes I am choosing to clog your page instead of putting these under a cut! :P)

Jess, me, Melanie, Audrey II, and Gianna
Three Ladies, Melanie and Audrey 2.2

Jess, me and Gianna with NBC 5's Andy Avalos (yeah, we were on the news :D)
Three Ladies with Andy Avalos

Most of my cast:
Jessica (Ronnette), Charlie (Seymour), Lainie (Audrey), Me (Chiffon), Rob Elgas of NBC5, Gianna (Crystal), Melanie (director, with Audrey 2.2), Andy Avalos of NBC5, Lucy (director/choreographer), Alex (Mushnik), Tom HORVATH (dentist...talent must come with the name :P)
Cast with 2 newscasters

OK, general you-should-already-know-this-you-idiot-announcement. If you're going to bitch openly and in a very mean manner about someone on your livejournal, and you are friends with someone who is friends with that person (MUCH better friends), don't be surprised when you get the shaft and that person tells their friend! It's common sense, it's what friends do! Especially when they can both agree that you're a huge BITCH!

Thank you :)

His major is PHYSICAL EDUCATION. He must get his winning attitude from his father.

Anyhow, Andrea introduced me to the WONDER that is "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind." It's a show, for lack of a better word, downtown (Ashland and Foster). The cast writes 30 skits, and they perform all of them in under 60 minutes. In the span of this hour I had to chew a candy necklace off of one of the actor's necks (eww...I think I swallowed some of her hair too...it was SO awkward!), I got pulled up on stage in a random scene, my nametag read "Lunch" (Andrea was "Fat Lip," Tom was "Tea," I forget the others), and I got slapped in the face...twice...by one of the actors. It is by far one of the funniest things I have ever seen, and tonight it was only $11! (It can be $8-$13, depending on how you roll the dice.) It's so easy to get there too, just take the drive all the way up to Foster and boom. They do this every weekend, and the skits change every weekend. And, if the show sells out, they order a pizza for the entire audience. That's right, ONE pizza...so you get like a cubic inch of pizza, it's funny. Anyway, I'll be going to this many times this summer! Next weekend is the Pride themed show, so I'm really excited for that. Thursday night is the musical singalong version of a read-through of Xanadu, an awful awful screenplay. SO if anyone wants to go, let me know!

And now I'm off to bed...my mom graduates from DePaul today! Yay! And I'm going to New York City in just over a month! YAY!

So who else finds it messed up that Doctor Claudia Geocaris (your principal) didn't just move graduation inside when it started pouring on Friday (I wasn't there, I just heard), but CANCELED the ceremony?? The seniors got their diplomas, but they didn't get to walk or get their names read and they didn't get to read speeches or anything, they got robbed! So now she's planned another graduation or something...way to go Clauds, you've really outdone yourself!

Hello all! And by all I mean all 2 of you who still read this! Anyway, I'm writing from good old IRELAND!! Killarney, to be exact. It's a big tourist city, lots of pubs and shops and such. Not that I've gotten to see much, I'm SICK AS A DOG. It SUCKS. I missed a day excursion to Dingle Peninsula (haha, dingle) today to lay in bed and have sars. It SUCKS. Hopefully it helped though...I'd rather miss one day than keep going and eventually miss a bunch, especially since the course gets more rigorous starting tomorrow. So far we've spent 2 days in Galway, which was interesting since the tap water was unsafe so we had to brush our teeth and everything with bottled water...mmm parasites. Galway was great, in a lot of ways it reminded me of America, but, of course, better. We took this 2 hour detour to Coole Park (an chuil) which is where a bunch of writers used to stay and writed and such (WB Yeats, for example) and it was AMAZING. It was one of the single greatest things I've ever seen. I already have so many pictures and journals and such, and soooo many stories. And I've already caught myself thinking in an Irish accent, I have to remind myself not to talk out loud in one when I'm in public. Then yesterday we arrived in Killarney (Cill Airne) which is a lot of fun. I finished up the rest of my must-do shopping, now I just get to have fun with the rest of my euros :) I've learned so much already, it's amazing. Tomorrow we leave for Allihies, which is so rural that most native Irish haven't even heard of it. It's way south in County Cork, very provincial. I'm super excited.
Ah, my 15 minutes of internet is over, and I paid £2 for it, so I have to go so I don't have to pay more! Talk to you all soon!

So a lot of people haven't heard about this, but it's important. On February 19th, Amy Basa's mom died of Lou Gehrig's Disease. I don't know any other details, but I didn't hear anything about it until today, so I'm assuming the family wants it low key. The point of this entry isn't to shout it to the masses, but I think that all of us as Amy's friends, or even just people who knew Amy and her (AWESOME) mom, deserve to know. I don't know if Amy wants messages or e-mails or anything about it, again, I just thought that her friends and acquaintances should know.

God bless, all.

So I just got screwed over ROYALLY by a few girls in my sorority. We had our pledging ceremony tonight for new pledges, and this is the night when they get to pick their pledge moms. WELL, I was on the list to be a mom. If you aren't in good financial standing, that's really the only way you could NOT be a mom (unless you opt not to). Well my friends were initiated as pledges tonight, and I was not picked as a mom. This seemed VERY peculiar to me, as some of them are my good friends. So I checked it out, and WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE, I was taken off the list. So none of the pledges COULD pick me.

Seems sort of dry and silly, but MAN I'M UPSET. This is one of things that I REALLY wanted. And because of a STUPID misunderstanding and lack of communication, I got screwed over.

These girls mean a lot to me, and I was really looking forward to possibly being one of their pledge moms. More than anything about this entire semester I wanted that. And bam.

I admit I get mad at a lot of little things that I shouldn't get mad about, I bitch for a while then get over it. But I haven't been THIS upset in a long time. Like, had to use my inhaler cause I couldn't breathe upset. It was BAD NEWS. So now I'm just left with the idea that what's done is done, nothing can be changed and I lost what I wanted, and I just have to get over it. Grrrrrrr.

On a MUCH better note, DA BEARS ARE GOING TO THE MOTHERFUCKING SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!
